LEE ROBERT E.: (1807-1870) American General of the Confederate Army during the American Civil War. A.L.S., R E Lee, one page, 8vo, Washington College, Lexington, Virginia, 31st January 1867, to Major R. J. Moses. Lee informs his correspondent that it would give him great pleasure to visit Georgia, 'a state for which I have great affection', although continuing 'but my occupation is so engrossing that I now see no prospect of doing so.
